A compact cubic sensor that goes from dry conveyors to high-pressure washdown.
The Datalogic S8 is a compact rectangular photoelectric sensor (about 14 × 42 × 25 mm) available in ABS plastic or AISI 316L stainless steel with IP69K rating. Beyond standard modes it adds contrast and luminescence versions and IO-Link, making it a favourite on packaging and food machinery. We stock 9 S8 models.

S8 Installation Tips
- Match housing to cleaning. Use stainless models wherever the machine is washed with chemicals or hot water.
- Use M8 cordsets with the right IP. The sensor is only as sealed as its connector — choose IP69K cordsets for washdown.
- Set via IO-Link where available. Store settings in the PLC so a replacement sensor is ready without re-teaching.
