Solid State Relay

Solid state relays (SSRs) switch heater, motor and lighting loads with no moving parts, so they last far longer than electromechanical contactors on fast-cycling duty. We stock panel mount SSRs from Omron and Carlo Gavazzi in single and three phase, from 10 A to 50 A, with DC or AC control inputs and zero-cross or random turn-on.

Choosing one comes down to load current with derating applied, whether the load is resistive or inductive, and the heatsink the panel can accommodate. Ask us for the derating curve before you size the heatsink - it is the most common cause of premature SSR failure.
