Telemecanique Sensors

Telemecanique sensors held in stock in India β€” XCS safety interlock switches, XU photoelectric sensors, XT capacitive proximity sensors and XUV label forks, shipped with a GST invoice. If the Telemecanique part you need is not listed, send us the reference and we will quote availability and lead time.

Is Telemecanique the same as Schneider Electric?

Yes β€” Telemecanique Sensors is Schneider Electric's sensor brand. Schneider acquired Telemecanique in 1988 and the sensor range has traded under the Telemecanique Sensors name since. The reference codes did not change, which is why the same part appears in the field as a Telemecanique catalogue number and in Schneider documentation under the same code: an XCKP2118 limit switch, an XUM8 photoelectric sensor or an XCSE safety switch is one product, not two. If your machine drawing says Telemecanique and your supplier quotes Schneider, they are quoting the same part.

XCS safety interlock switches

Metal-bodied guard door switches with slow-break contacts. The choice between XCSLF and XCSE is contact count: four NC plus two NO against two NC plus one NO. Contact configuration follows the machine's risk assessment, not preference β€” tell us the safety function and we will confirm the reference.

XU photoelectric sensors

The XUM miniature with background suppression detects to 0.30 m and ignores whatever sits behind the target, which is what makes it usable on a crowded machine. The XUY fork is a teach-in type for parts passing through a fixed 15 Γ— 42 mm slot.

XT capacitive proximity

M18 and M30 cylindrical capacitive sensors, 8 mm and 15 mm sensing. Capacitive detects plastic, glass, powder and liquid as well as metal β€” useful for level through a non-metallic tank wall, but sensitivity must be set on the actual installation rather than the bench.

XUV label forks

Purpose-built label gap sensors for labelling machines. The fork holds emitter and receiver in permanent alignment with the web running between them, so detection stays repeatable across a production run without re-alignment.

Buying Telemecanique sensors in India

  • GST invoice with every order, valid for input tax credit.
  • Pan-India delivery, and shipping to 220+ countries via DHL, ARAMEX and FedEx.
  • References not listed here. The Telemecanique catalogue runs to thousands of items β€” send us the reference and we will come back with price and availability.
  • Replacing an existing switch? Give us the reference on the old unit plus the actuator style, and we will match it or offer an equivalent.

Common questions

Are Telemecanique and Schneider references interchangeable?

They are the same references. Telemecanique Sensors is Schneider Electric's sensor brand, and the catalogue codes were carried over unchanged after the acquisition.

Which XCS switch do I need?

It follows from the safety function and the required performance level in the machine's risk assessment, not from the catalogue alone. Tell us the guard arrangement and our engineers will work through it with you.

Do you stock Telemecanique limit switches?

The XCK limit switch range is not held in stock, but the VXT-LS limit switches we manufacture are built as direct replacements for XCKP, XCKM, XCKN and XCKD references β€” each product page lists the Schneider code it replaces.

What is the difference between XT capacitive and an inductive sensor?

Inductive sensors detect metal only. Capacitive sensors such as the XT detect almost any material, including plastic, glass, wood, powder and liquid β€” at the cost of being sensitive to moisture and build-up on the face. See inductive proximity sensors for metal-only detection.
