VXT/TOF/2M-BP time-of-flight laser sensor detecting clear glass bottles
A VXT/TOF/2M-BP time-of-flight laser sensor is mounted on a bracket above a filling-line conveyor, its red beam crossing a row of clear glass bottles as they move past. Transparent containers are the classic failure case for ordinary diffuse photoelectric sensors, because most of the light passes straight through the glass. A time-of-flight sensor measures the return time of the pulse instead of its intensity, so the bottle registers as a distance change rather than a brightness change. The 2 m sensing range covers a normal conveyor width with the sensor mounted clear of the bottle path.

The VTFA/30D-2M array fibre optic head is shown detecting a transparent plastic zipper. An array fibre spreads the beam across a wide band instead of a single spot, so a thin, clear or irregular part still interrupts enough of the beam to be counted reliably. This is the arrangement used on zip, film and label lines where a single-spot fibre would miss the edge or false-trigger on the gap between teeth.

The VTIN/1810P-NFA54 is an M18 threaded-barrel inductive proximity sensor with a 10 mm sensing distance and a PNP normally-open output. Inductive sensors respond only to metal, which makes them the default choice for shaft rotation counting, cylinder end-of-stroke detection and jig presence checks where dust, coolant or paint would blind an optical sensor. The 10 mm range is the extended-distance version, giving more mounting tolerance than a standard M18 barrel.

The VT25.I.420.M124.T0 is a loop-powered vibration transmitter with an added temperature output, terminated in an M12 connector. It reports overall vibration velocity as a 4-20 mA signal referenced to ISO 10816, the standard machine-vibration severity scale, so the reading can go straight into a PLC or DCS analogue input without a separate signal conditioner. Combining vibration and bearing temperature in one body is what makes it practical for continuous condition monitoring on pumps, fans and motors.

The ELS24B342M84 is an opto-electric fork sensor for label web detection. Emitter and receiver sit in a fixed U-shaped body, so the gap stays permanently aligned and the label passes through a known, repeatable optical path - no mounting drift and no reflector to keep clean. Fork sensors of this type are what labelling machines use to find the gap between labels on the backing web and stop the dispenser in the right position.

The VXT-TL50 Series is a 50 mm LED signal tower, shown here first as a complete three-tier stack in red, amber and green and then close up on the individual lenses, the mounting base and the wiring tail. Tower lights are the standard way to make machine state visible across a shop floor from a distance - running, warning, stopped - and the LED construction draws far less current than the incandescent stacks they replaced, so several can share one PLC output card.
