The Tri-Tronics UVS-3A is a luminescence sensor with PNP / NPN selectable, 4–20 mA analogue output.
A luminescence sensor illuminates the target with UV light and detects the visible glow returned by fluorescent material. Because it reads emitted light rather than reflected light, it finds marks that are invisible to an ordinary sensor and to the eye — UV glue beads, security marks, and fluorescent inks on printed and coated surfaces.
