Micro Detectors SSP/AP-1H M18 Polarised Retro-Reflective Sensor – Supplier in India

The Micro Detectors SSP/AP-1H is an M18 polarised retro-reflective sensor with up to 2 m range on a reflector, a PNP NO output and a 10–30 V DC supply. Its polarising filter makes it reliable on shiny cartons, cans and wrapped products. Industrypapa supplies it as a Micro Detectors and Datalogic sensor distributor in India.

Part 1

Why choose a polarised retro-reflective sensor

A retro-reflective sensor sends light to a reflector and receives it back. A plain version can be fooled by shiny objects that reflect light like a reflector. A polarised sensor uses filters so it only accepts light returned by a micro-prism reflector, which shiny objects cannot imitate.

That is why the SSP/AP-1H is a good choice for glossy cartons, cans, foil and stretch-wrapped products. Use it with a micro-prism reflector such as the Datalogic RL 201.

Part 3

Why choose the Micro Detectors SSP/AP-1H

  • Polarised filter: no false triggers from shiny objects
  • 2 m range: covers most conveyor widths
  • M18 body: fits standard brackets
  • PNP NO: standard sourcing PLC logic
  • Single-side wiring: only the sensor needs power
Part 4

Typical applications

  • Object detection on conveyors
  • Glossy carton, can and bottle detection
  • Door and gate monitoring
  • Packaging and material-handling machines
Part 5

Installation and setup tips

Mount the sensor facing a micro-prism reflector across the conveyor, within 2 m. Align the beam using the indicator LED. Wire brown to +24 V, blue to 0 V and black to the PLC input. Use a micro-prism reflector, not reflective tape, so the polarisation works correctly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the range of the SSP/AP-1H?

Up to 2 m on a reflector.

Why polarised?

The polarising filter stops shiny objects from reflecting light back and causing false triggers.

What output does it have?

PNP, normally open (NO), 100 mA max.

Which reflector should I use?

A micro-prism reflector such as the Datalogic RL 201.

Is it a Datalogic sensor?

It is Micro Detectors, now part of Datasensing (the former Datalogic sensors business).

Do you supply it across India?

Yes, with GST invoice, pan-India delivery and export on request.
