What does P&F stand for?

P&F is the everyday short form of Pepperl+Fuchs, the German industrial sensor manufacturer. You will also see it written as P+F, PNF or "Pepperl and Fuchs" - all of them refer to the same company. Its factory automation division makes the photoelectric, inductive, ultrasonic and rotary encoder products used on packaging lines, conveyors and machine tools; a separate process automation division covers explosion-protection equipment.

OBD series

Diffuse mode photoelectric sensors with an adjustable operating distance and infrared emission, in a strong M18 x 1 metal barrel with IP67 protection. Not sensitive to ambient light, so they stay dependable where factory lighting varies.

OBT series

The same 200 mm and 500 mm ranges in the same M18 form factor. The usual choice for straightforward object detection in automation, packaging and material handling machinery.

DK series

Contrast sensors in a robust IP67 industrial housing with eight M5 metal-reinforced mounting inserts, used for print-mark and registration-mark detection on packaging and labelling machines.

Which sensor do I need for 200 mm detection?

OBD200-18GM60 or OBT200-18GM60, both diffuse mode in an M18 housing. Choose the OBD version if you need the operating distance to be adjustable on the sensor itself.

Do you supply Pepperl+Fuchs inductive proximity switches?

The P&F range stocked here is photoelectric and contrast. For inductive proximity sensors held in stock we carry Datalogic, Micro Detectors and Telemecanique - see inductive proximity sensors. For P&F inductive part numbers, send us the code and we will quote it.
