Installing an S3N Correctly
- Use the right bracket. Mount on a rigid bracket so vibration does not shift the beam — miniature sensors are light and move easily.
- Keep the lens clean. A small lens is quickly covered by dust; include it in the machine cleaning routine.
- Teach with the real target. For BGS and clear-object models, teach with the actual product in place, not a test card.
- Pick PNP or NPN correctly. P models suit most European and Indian PLCs; N models suit NPN (sinking) inputs.
